At 62, I am literally old enough to remember when there were big discussions in magazines and other paper fora about whether or not using a computer, as opposed to a typewriter, would improve or denigrate your writing. The arguments got rather heated even in magazines.

I can see similar ideas coming out about applications like Grammarly, which I do not use. I am more concerned about having my writing changed because this is what the application says is the best way. It may be like using auto-tune for singing. So I still do not use Grammarly and I appreciate evaluations like this one.
