Spreading Conspiracy Theories Is Gravely Sinful
Speak only the truth including about the vaccine
Readers to this most likely are not spreading conspiracy theories but others are, this is one take on how to address such theories.
One of the most counterproductive tools against vaccine hesitancy is name-calling. If someone does not want to take the vaccine because of misinformation, calling them a nutcase does no one any good. In fact, it may only affirm the vaccine-hesitant more in their attitude. In their perspective, you are so determined to silence them from preaching their conspiracy theories that you resort to name-calling.
Remember the admonition from Gandhi:
First, they ignore you, then they mock you and then they attack you. When they attack you, you’ve won.
So attacking someone verbally or otherwise is often counterproductive.
What we need to do is what professional environments encourage and that is to take these conspiracy theory statements at face value and evaluate them.
The Microchip Conspiracy Theory
One conspiracy theory is that the reason for the vaccine is to implant a microchip into Americans without them knowing it. This will enable all Americans and eventually the whole world to be controlled by the New World Order.
I used to fix Navy sonar computers and, granted, microchips were just arriving on the scene at the time but I am familiar with the basic technology of these devices. I can promise you that it is impossible for this claim to be real.
If you take a vintage stereo component and open it up, you will find one or more circuit cards with various transistors, resistors, capacitors, diodes, and more on them. A microchip is that type of circuit at a tiny level, even microscopic. Regardless of the size, a microchip is essentially nothing more than a bunch of electronic components similar to the circuit card in your larger devices. Obviously, it is more compact and contains more components. Nevertheless, the principles and laws of physics on which they operate are the same as for all things on the Earth.
Without an External Power Source It Is Useless
Remove that circuit card from the sound equipment and it is basically useless. No component is of any use without an external power source. So, similarly, the microchip would need some form of power such as a battery connected to it or installed within it. Without the battery or another form of power, it would be as useless as using duct tape to attach the older circuit card to your arm. It would do nothing but make you look ridiculous.
If we assume a long-life battery to the microchip is already installed, then like the circuit card, it has to be connected in some way to the body in order for it to function. If, for example, its purpose was to receive radio signals from the National Security Agency and then convert them to signals your brain could understand, there would have to be a biological interface. Even if that technology was possible, it is impossible for such an interface to occur simply by injecting a microchip in your arm. There would have to be some form of surgery to make sure the proper connections are in place.
Remember, all of this would have to exist on a device that has to fit through the holes in a hypodermic needle and be done each time accurately.
Making a gargantuan assumption
Let us assume all of that is possible which is a gargantuan assumption. Now we have to assume that there are people in the various agencies that are capable of designing something that can accurately track you and control you and I do not mean just you. I mean you specifically and Chris Jones, Fimali Washington, Pat O’Hara, and every else would be tracked by someone in some agency in Langley, Virginia. This assumes someone also in Langley could design the proper codes to make each person in the country or on Earth do what they were supposed to do.
I worked for the government at one time. There are some wonderfully dedicated people who serve as public servants some are also intensely intelligent, none are that smart to design and run such a massive system. Tom and Ray Magliozzi who were known as Click and Clack the Tappet Brothers on National Public Radio once said to take your car to fix engine problems to one person and transmission problems to another. They said no one has enough brain cells to know how to fix both.
Well, no one has enough brain cells to design, create and run such a system as some assume is in Langley Virginia.
Is it possible for some of this technology to exist? Of course, microchips do exist. Brain/electronics interfaces do exist, RFID technology does exist. However, to assume all of these exist together in the same technology so that some person in the government can control your mind is just not practical, possible, and real.
No chip necessary
Strangely enough, there is a technology that tracks you wherever you go. It is not conspiracy theory stuff, it is real and most people in the United States are tracked by it. I am sure you know I am referring to your smartphone.
I own an Android and Google is quite open that the phone tracks where I am at all times. I do not complain. I know this record is proof that I am where I say I am.
There is also another technology that already exists that can create a profile of you even of the direction of your inner thoughts. It is called social media and In fact, recently the Los Angeles Police Department began tracking people’s social media information even if they are not arrested. This is all possible through technology that is relatively simple but users give it away voluntarily every day on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Parler, and more. There is no need for anyone in Langley, Virginia to use some kind of technology to involuntarily track you and read your mind. The technology already exists except it is voluntary and chances are you already participate in it. No forced injection microchip necessary.
There is no microchip in the vaccine. If there was, there is one thing that it could do that would affect your health and your well-being. It would cause what is known as a sterile infection. This would be your body’s reaction against this foreign body. Eventually, the body would push it out. It could also cause a massive reaction that would lead to a severe and maybe even life-threatening infection.
I know some members of the faith community including Catholics are spreading this false information. However, one of the commandments is the proscription against bearing false witness. Unless you have irrefutable evidence that such a system exists, spreading that information is as serious as murder according to the laws of God. It is bearing false witness. It is lying. It is a grave mortal sin.
Another law is Occam’s Razor. This is a rule of science that explains the simplest explanation for all things is usually the most correct one. The vaccine was created in response to the virus. The virus is real. Any other theory of the reason for the vaccine unless what can be proven otherwise is assumed false. To spread that false information without a serious amount of documentation to back it up is a gravely sinful thing to do.
